Working with others on fundraising

Happy Staffie Rescue is pleased to announce that terms have been agreed for another summer of car boots managed jointly with Birch Hill Dog Rescue.

Following the success of our first summer working together we have found a new larger site in Alverley and look forward to our first jointly run boot at the end of March.

The boots provide a valuable source of income at a low cost and also provide an outlet to publicise the dogs in our care that need homes and services we may be able to provide in the local community.

Our purpose and aims

The charity’s objects (the Objects) are

For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of dogs, and in particular Staffordshire bull terriers, which are in need of care and attention by any means which now and hereafter may be deemed to be charitable in law and particularly by:

(1) aiding dogs in distress through injury or any other cause and arranging veterinary treatment where necessary

(2) finding good and suitable new homes for dogs in our care or that come to our attention; and

(3) assisting members of the public by means of information, education or in any way whatsoever that promotes appropriate care, protection and humane treatment of dogs.

The above objects were approved by the Charity Commission as charitable in law when Registration was approved in 2009.
